This species of wood separates itself from the rest of the wood pack. Notably, because it forms out of a strain of grass which grows at a rate of a few inches per year and can end up 10 feet tall. Ultra flexible but as durable as a hardwood, bamboo has been used for weapons, tools design, construction and if all else fails, you can eat it ( don’t eat our products, it’s a waste of great products and they do not taste good ). Best part of it all, bamboo is a renewable resource that is easy on the environment. Bamboo makes us think of Buddhism and panda bears. Seriously, who dislikes panda bears?

Cedar is a gorgeous red wood. Moderately hard, strong, stiff, and very stable. This skin has a clear sealant coat so it maintains its natural appeal. This hardwood will not only add some pop to your mac but also supplies added security…giving you more bang for your buck.

Generally straight grained with a fairly uniform texture and a rich luster. Moderately hard and heavy, strong, stiff, and very stable. This skin has a dark sealant coat so it pops well visually and gives off a classic look. Pine is among the most commercially traded timbers on the planet due to its durability. Light, soft, moderately stiff, low strength and shock resistance, moderately low decay resistance, and good stability in service. Pine is considered a “softwood”. Don’t let this fool you. Pine is widely used in construction for its intense durability. You use it in your house but let’s face it; it looks cooler on your computer.

Sapele has a generally straight grain and is usually free of voids and pockets. It has a reddish-brown color, which darkens over time, and displays a reddish sheen when polished. It has excellent workability, and is very durable. Historically, the tree’s girth allowed for wide boards from traditional sapele species. These properties make it a favorable wood for crafting our skins.

Generally straight grained with a moderately coarse, uniform texture. This is a rich dark brown heartwood with an extra dark coat of sealant. Moderately hard, strong, and stiff, with good decay resistance and dimensional stability. Walnut’s straight laced demeanor is deceiving because he’s a dirty old wildman at heart. Walnut has been the timber choice for gun makers for centuries, due to its resilience to compression along the grain. It’s a wonder wood-making it a perfect choice for a mac skin.

Since every product we make is 100% real authentic wood the images seen above are representations of the wood. Actual wood grain, patterns and knots will vary with each individual skin. Your skin is unlike anyone else’s in the world, literally.
